Market Cap
Market Cap = Current Price x Circulating Supply
Refers to the total market value of a cryptocurrency’s circulating supply. It is similar to the stock market’s measurement of multiplying price per share by shares readily available in the market (not held & locked by insiders, governments) Read More |

Market Cap / FDV
The proportion of current market capitalization compares to market capitalization when meeting max supply.
The closer the Mkt Cap/FDV to 1, the closer the current market capitalization to its fully diluted valuation and vice versa. Learn more about Mkt Cap/FDV here. |

Fully Diluted Valuation
Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) = Current Price x Total Supply
Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) is the theoretical market capitalization of a coin if the entirety of its supply is in circulation, based on its current market price. The FDV value is theoretical as increasing the circulating supply of a coin may impact its market price. Also depending on the tokenomics, emission schedule or lock-up period of a coin's supply, it may take a significant time before its entire supply is released into circulation. About MegaETH (MEGA)
MegaETH is a real-time Layer 2 blockchain built to scale Ethereum with high throughput and sub-10-millisecond latency.
- The network utilizes a heterogeneous architecture that separates node functions to achieve performance levels comparable to traditional centralized systems.
- It maintains full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which allows developers to use familiar Ethereum tools and smart contracts.
- Security is anchored to the Ethereum mainnet through an Optimistic Rollup design, a scaling method that processes transactions off-chain and periodically submits batches of compressed data to the base layer.
What Is MegaETH
MegaETH is a Smart Contract Platform designed to provide "real-time" blockchain performance for decentralized applications. Its primary value proposition is the elimination of the latency and throughput bottlenecks that typically limit on-chain interactions, enabling high-frequency trading, complex gaming, and mass NFT operations. Value moves through the system via the MEGA token, which serves as the medium for transaction fees and network security.
The token is "put to work" through multiple mechanisms including staking for rewards and participation in a decentralized sequencer rotation. As the ecosystem grows, the token's utility scales with the demand for network resources and the expansion of the decentralized governance framework.
What Makes MegaETH Unique
- Heterogeneous Node Architecture: Unlike traditional blockchains where every node performs identical tasks, MegaETH optimizes performance by assigning specialized roles to sequencers, read replicas, full nodes, and provers.
- High-Performance Execution: The network targets a throughput of 100,000 transactions per second with 10-millisecond block times, significantly exceeding the capabilities of standard Layer 2 solutions.
- Expanded Smart Contract Limits: MegaETH increases the smart contract size limit to 512KB, a substantial increase from the 24KB limit on Ethereum, enabling the deployment of more complex logic.
- Real-Time State Streaming: The architecture allows for instant state updates, providing a responsive experience for users and developers similar to Web2 applications.
What Can You Use MegaETH for?
- Transaction Fees: Users utilize the MEGA token to pay for gas fees on the network, facilitating fast and low-cost transactions.
- Network Staking: Token holders can commit their assets to staking contracts to earn yield rewards and support the security of the protocol.
- Governance: Holders participate in the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), a structure for community-led decision-making, to vote on protocol upgrades and parameter adjustments.
- Sequencer Selection: In future updates, staking MEGA will allow participants to be selected for the rotational sequencer role, contributing to the decentralization of the network.
- Ecosystem Participation: The token is used for developer grants, liquidity mining, and other incentive programs designed to bootstrap network adoption.
How Does MegaETH Work?
MegaETH operates as an Optimistic Rollup that inherits the security of Ethereum's Proof of Stake consensus while increasing throughput. The network uses a heterogeneous architecture where specialized nodes handle different parts of the transaction lifecycle. High-performance sequencers order and execute transactions in memory, while read replicas service data queries without interrupting execution.
To ensure data remains accessible for verification, MegaETH integrates with EigenDA for data availability, a system that stores transaction data off-chain while providing cryptographic guarantees of its presence. If a sequencer submits an invalid state transition, full nodes can challenge it through a fault proof system, which allows any participant to challenge invalid state transitions. Users pay gas fees in MEGA to have their transactions processed by the sequencer.
Team Info and Investors
MegaETH is developed by MegaLabs, with oversight from the MegaETH Foundation and Superior Performance Limited. The core team consists of 23 members focused on protocol optimization and infrastructure. The project has attracted significant backing from prominent figures and firms in the cryptocurrency industry.
In June 2024, MegaETH raised $20 million in a seed funding round led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin. This was followed by a $10 million community funding round in December 2024. In October 2025, the project conducted a public token sale that raised approximately $50 million, and the token generation event was completed in November 2025. Governance is transitioning toward a decentralized structure where MEGA token holders will have a voice in the long-term direction of the protocol.
Where can you buy MegaETH?
MEGA tokens can be traded on centralized crypto exchanges. The most popular exchange to buy and trade MegaETH is Binance, where the most active trading pair MEGA/USDT has a trading volume of $3,668,042.60 in the last 24 hours. Other popular options include Bybit and OKX.
